Siouxsie Cooper & the Desert Roses
Pam & Kay, Desert Roses
Siouxsie and her students have been reaching out to the wider public by dancing at town and village festivals, carnivals and other events where
they promenade and perform for packed audiences at which they have been described as a Bellydance version of the majorettes.
They are a dramatic and colourful addition to any occasion bringing exotic music and dance steps to an open-air event.  The local press pick up their tails, organisers and audience alike praise their professionalism and spectacle.
They have become the star attraction of Stoke Gabriel Carnivals and have regular performance spots in the Airfusion Music Festival at Newton Abbott and took both Totnes and Dawlish carnivals by storm this year.
"We couldn't imagine our Carnival without the Desert Roses. They are spectacular.  The first year they came they took the place by storm, stopping the procession with their incredible displays of colour and dance.  They also perform outside the local pub, which adds to a wonderful village carnival day."
Pam, carnival organiser, 2005.
Already Siouxsie's Desert Roses are booked for the Newton Abbot 2006 Airfusion Festival and also the Dawlish, Stoke Gabriel, and Totnes 2006 Carnivals.
We are looking for more opportunities to perform and strut our stuff so if you have carnivals, festivals or other events you would like us to attend contact us here.
Siouxsie and a select group of dancers are available to bring colour and spirit to your corporate event, party and special occasion. Recent work includes the Anti-Racism campaign in Truro, Cornwall and 'Momentum Dance Platform' in Totnes.  Siouxsie and her dancers bring an extra quality of surprise and enjoyment for you and your event, which they can tailor to your requirements from getting people to dance, a dramatic display of dance to an hour-long theatre performance.
